Our Work

Through legal advocacy, leadership development, and public education, Justice For Girls (JFG) work to bridge the gap between human rights standards and the lived realities of girls facing inequality, violence, and discrimination.

What We Do

JFG’s primary areas of action include Legal Advocacy and Policy, Young Women’s Leadership, Indigenous Rights and Environmental Justice, and Public Education and Engagement.

We work in these areas with attention to gaps between standards set out in domestic and international human rights law, and the reality of young women’s lived experiences of inequality, violence and discrimination. Justice for Girls has produced many human rights reports and advocacy submissions, domestic and international.

We promote laws and policies that ensure young women’s rights to safety, dignity, and equality. At the same time, we challenge laws and policies that violate girls’ rights or liberties.

Our Impact to Date

Through our work, we have influenced legal decisions, supported young women in leadership roles, and shed light on critical issues affecting Indigenous girls and environmental justice.
